Ethnographic Research with Hand Weavers, Scotland: Alice Clough (2015)
A three-month research project with remote hand-weaving communities in Scotland. As part of the project each participant was given a disposable camera with which to document the sights, sounds and smells of their daily lives (top row of images). Research outputs included poetry, sketches, 'sound-drawings' and woven fragments (middle and bottom row of images).
Workshop: Word-Body, Alice Clough (2020)
A public workshop held as part of a one-day solo exhibition and following my artist talk. Participants were invited to experiment with visual creative responses to a ceramic installation focused around the evolution of written text in the archaeological record.
